The Municipality of Győr County City successfully applied for the transformation and expansion of the József Attila út clinic within the framework of the Regional and Settlement Development Operative Program.
The clinics located on the corner of József Attila út and Móra Ferenc tér currently provide adult medical and health care, as well as pediatric care. The two separate buildings were built in the 1970s-80s, and despite the complex external and internal renovation in the late 1990s, these buildings are no longer able to serve the outpatient care needs of the district. During the development, a new building unit will be created by building in the currently vacant area between the two separate buildings located on two parts of the site, in which the health care service consulting offices will be located. The adult medical and pediatric clinics - in addition to internal function expansion - will remain in their original locations, in their original buildings. The individual building parts will form an independent purpose unit with separate entrances, but the layout of the rooms in the new building unit ensures internal accessibility between the pediatric clinics and health care consulting offices, which was not ensured before the development. Barrier-free access to the building, as well as the services provided by the adult family doctor, child family doctor and health visitor services, will be provided for all types of disabled people. The building complex will also have several barrier-free main entrances, and barrier-free toilets, as well as information and directional signs for disabled people, will be installed in all three building units. Following the investment, the building complex will receive a uniformly 15 cm thick thermal insulation layer, and the new windows and doors will have parameters that meet the energy-saving requirements of the time. The heating will be independently adjustable in each building unit, so that the temperature can be adjusted to the individual needs of the given building. A radiator heating system will be installed in the buildings, and where it is not possible to use radiator heating, underfloor heating will be installed as additional heating. Thus, taking into account the characteristics of the building, the most energy-efficient and cost-effective heating system is designed. The project entitled "Reconstruction and expansion of the József Attila úti clinic", with the identification number TOP-6.6.1-16-GY1-2019-00002, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Hungarian State. The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Győr County. The amount of the grant: HUF 532,881,733.

It was necessary to expand and modernize the clinic, as the population of the settlement exceeds 15 thousand, and 10 thousand of them attend this healthcare institution.
